Danny and his clone Dani's (Danny Phantom) Ghost Sense can alert them to the presence of other ghosts and sometimes other half-ghost other than themselves, usually manifesting as a blue mist because it it delivered from their untapped potential of Cryokinesis.

Unlike other Ghost Sense users, Dark Danny's (Danny Phantom) ghost sense is red rather than blue and can sense half-ghost all the time after his fusion with Vlad's ghost half.

In response to feeling the presence of creatures of darkness and restless souls, Humans who receive the Brand of Sacrifice (Berserk) will bleed and feel pain around the branded area.

Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) can detect vampires within her area like when she sensed Spike hiding behind a tree.

As a vampire himself, Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel) detects on sight that one of Helen Brucker's aides is a vampire.
