The ability to reduce survivability. Sub-power of Survival Manipulation. Variation of Reduction. Not to be confused with Health Drain. Opposite to Survivability Augmentation.
Also Known As[]
- Max HP Reduction
- Permanent Damage
- Vitality Reduction
Capabilities[]
The user can reduce the "total health" of their target, making it easier to kill them. One who could previously survive without most of their organs could be reduced to the point of being slain with a single tap after exposure to this power. By targeting the "total health" instead of/alongside inflicting damage, this acts as a vicious counter to even the strongest healing or regeneration, as these abilities cannot restore the "lost health" even after they've fixed any inflicted damage.
Alternatively, they may practically nullify such abilities by the victims "reduced hp" being regarded as already at full health while remaining viciously wounded.
Applications[]
- Health Reduction
- Immortality Bypassing - Capable of killing immortals that rely on regeneration or recovery.
- Reduction of Peak/Enhanced/Supernatural Survivability - possible inducement of One Hit Kill
Associations[]
Limitations[]
- "Total health" loss may be temporary, perhaps even brief.
- Cannot completely reduce a user of Absolute Survivabiliy.
- Restoration can return the "lost health."
