Power to use the abilities of Tengu. Variation of Yokai Physiology and Corvid Physiology.


User with this ability either is or can transform into an Tengu (lit. "heavenly dog", see Tiangou), with highly variable in appearance: some are almost completely bird-like with only minor humanoid features (this might include clothes), others are completely human, most are somewhere between these extremes. They are associated with the ascetic practice known as Shugendō, and they are usually depicted in the distinctive garb of its followers, the yamabushi.

Tengu are protective, if still dangerous, spirits of the mountains and forests, they are mischievous and sometimes malicious, with a propensity for playing pranks on humans. Although they disdain the proud and arrogant, they are often guilty of those same flaws.



Daitengu (Greater Tengu) are both larger and more powerful than their lesser cousins, they are also the ones in charge and generally each rulers of their own domain:
