^ Hypercompetence doesn't necessarily allow competence for all situations, however. Accelerated Probability only allows you to see how things can play out, it doesn't give the skills that the Competence Powers let you have. As the guy who told you about Omnicompetence, I'm still sticking with it :P
Seeing as DYBAD created Hypercompetence, it could certainly be an ability that was created with the intent to surpass Omnicompetence. I'm just going for Omnicompetence because it seems to me that it's truly an 'all-situation winner guarantee' kinda thing. Hypercompetence leaves it open as to how many fields the user excels in.
Unfortunately, Hypercompetence is a lesser version of Omnicompetence. Hypercompetence means an accelerated competence, but Omnicompetence is the understanding of all things. It's like saying pyrokinesis is equal in capacity to telekinesis. One can only control fire that exists, while the other is capable of controlling all forms of matter. If you want the character to have a limited amount of access to the scope of their power, use hypercompetence; if however, you want them to have unlimited potential you should choose omnicompetence.
