  • You awaken.

You’re in a colosseum, in the center of the ring. Many others surround you, confused and scared. You look around. Where are you?

...come to think of it, WHO are you?

Your name comes to you quickly. But aside from that, nothing. How did you end up here, surrounded by so many people? Where do you come from?

All of a sudden, a crack sounds through the air, and a girl appears out of nowhere, hovering over you.

"I am Xyhara. And you are all here to fight."

Welcome, ladies and gents, to Xyhara's Game! The premise is simple: a whole lotta OCs are stripped of their memories and brought to the colosseum, wherein there is only one way to retrieve them...killing each other. It's a total free-for-all, everyone fights everyone and alliances shift and break at a moment's notice.

With all those pleasantries in mind, let's list the rules!

    1. Do not control OCs that aren't yours. (This one's pretty self-explanatory.)

    2. You get one character. ONE.

    3. List EVERY power your character has. If you suddenly pull a new one out of nowhere, Xyhara will penalize your character by stripping away their best power. She will continue to strip powers if you fail to learn your lesson until your character is a sitting duck (and sitting ducks are NOT fun).

    4. No overpowered characters! Seriously, guys. Just to make sure, I'll be checking every power your OC has before I make the decision. If "instantly explodes opponent's head" is on the list, then...really?

    5. This is mostly a battle thread, though the beginning will be less fighty and more what-the-heck-is-going-on-y. After Xyhara says it's okay to fight, though, all bets are off.

    6. Don't gang up on one user. Seriously, guys. Unless they say it's okay, then just assume it isn't and play accordingly.

    7. The arena will occasionally change, to jungles and oceans and the like. Stay on your toes.

    8. Weapon users ARE allowed. However, the rules on powers apply to their swords/lances/axes/bows/guns/umbrellas/what have you.

    9. No insta-wins. Your character can't just decapitate everyone else's and call it a day.

    10. No exploiting loopholes in the rules.

    11. The game ends when there is one person left.

    12. Every character has a health bar of 100. Every attack that hits will take a portion off said health bar. You use random number generators to see if your character successfully dodges: if it's 1-5, the attack will hit, but a 6-10 means you're in the clear!

Depending on your character's strengths, defenses, and weaknesses, the attack can deal either little damage or a lot. And when you hit zero...that is IT. You are DEAD, DEAD, DEAD.

Okay, here's the character template, now go crazy! (And yes, I was inspired by Battle Arena, how kind of you to notice.)

Profile (basically encompasses name, age, gender, species, appearance, all that good stuff):

Powers (make sure to link to them):

Personality (hey, this could impact a fight!):

    Weapons (assuming they carry them):

Weapon Abilities (here you list all extra abilities their weapons give them):

Weaknesses (I really shouldn't have to explain this one):

Techniques (they have powers, but what can they DO with them?):

Anything Else? (what else should we know about them?)

"Where's the backstory?" I hear you ask. And I answer...I said earlier everyone was an amnesiac, right?

Use that template, if you need to. Or don't. You can use another template, I really don't care.

    Ten seconds.

That's how long it takes for her to search every corner of the omniverse for fighters.

It takes one second to wipe those chosen clean of their memories.

It takes another second to bring them here, to this pocket dimension.

A place that exists outside of time.

Xyhara watches as many people appear before her, all unconscious. They all have an aura of strangeness about them. Good. Those without powers had no place in a battle against the ones who had them.

Right now, though, there is no battling. Just many, many people, lying in a colosseum, perfectly still.

The air crackles, and Xyhara vanishes to make last-minute preparations. But she won't be gone long. Once all are awake, she will tell them where they are.

And it isn't long before the first people start to stir.

    Let the game begin.

      Name: Bayar Vaziri.

      Age: 25.

      Gender: Male.

      Species: Human.

Personality: Bayar is, for the most part, an all around happy person even during combat. There have been many times, or at least he feels like there has, where he's outright laughed in the face of certain death. But do not mistake his jovial nature for complacency, as he's constantly studying his opponent's and forming strategies during a fight.

Powers: Peak Human Combat, Peak Human Condition, Spell Casting, and Space-Time Magic.

      Weapons: Omega, The Timeslicer.

Weapon Abilities: Space-Time Slicing, but only after charging his blade with years of his lifeforce. Takes 95 points of HP and TE to complete. As a finisher move it does 100 points of damage on contact and cannot be avoided.

Weaknesses: Anti-Magic, Magic Negation, Space-Time Destruction, and Magic Destruction.

      Techniques

      • Temporal Bolt: Bayar channel's temporal energy into Omega and fires it at his opponent's. Causes knockback and burn damage for 2 turns. Targets must roll one d8 die for each turn they are afflicted and subtract that number from their overall health pool.

      Cost: 10 TE per cast.

      • Temporal Healing: Bayar can heal himself by reversing time around his body and undoing most or all damage taken during a fight. Caster must roll a d10 die and then use the score shown to determine the amount of d8 dice to be rolled, which in turn determines the amount of health regained.

      Cost: 15 TE per cast.

      • Spatio-Temporal Shield: Bayar forms shield made from solidified space-time directly in front of himself. This spell can be interrupted or bypassed by striking him from behind during a fight.

      Cost: 20 TE per turn.

      • Temporal Clones: Bayar manipulates space around himself to create the illusion of multiple versions of himself to distract foes. These clones cannot land an attack, as they are not really there, and they cannot be attacked but other than that they can move about normally. Each clone lasts for 3 turns before vanishing.

      Cost: 25 TE per cast.

      • Time Stopping/Acceleration/Reduction: Bayar reaches out and commands time to bend to his will, allowing him to stop, slow, speed up, or freeze it in one area.

      Cost: 30 TE per cast.

      • Spatial Distortion: Bayar casts a spell that distorts space in a radius of up to five feet. Distortion lasts for 3 turns. All targets caught within the affected area must make a resistance roll of 6-10 for each turn they remain in that spot. Targets who fail to make said roll take 10 points of damage each.

      Cost: 35 TE per cast.

      • Spatial Shockwave: Bayar reverses the direction of the Space-Time Continuum, which releases a massive shockwave. Causes knockback damage.

      Cost: 40 TE per cast.

      • Time Loop: Bayar places a target in a time loop that lasts for 3 turns. Each turn the target can make a roll to try and escape the loop. Must roll a 6-10 to succeed.

      Cost: 45 TE per cast.

      • Space-Time Travel: Bayar casts a spell to travel through space-time to another location instantly. He can also use this power to send other's through space as well. He was originally able to go through and send others through time as well, but found that he no longer had access to that part of his magic after waking up here. Targets must roll a 6-10 to successfully avoid the attack.

      Cost: 50 TE per cast.

      • Spatial Displacement: Bayar casts a spell that allows him to shift an entire area, around ten feet in size, from one spatial location to another. Target's must roll a 6-10 in order to escape the area before it is moved to another location. If said roll fails, then the players will be transported along with the space.

      Cost: 55 TE per cast.

      • Foresight: Bayar casts a spell that allows him to see several minutes into the future for 3 turns. All attacks made against him are immediately deflected and/or countered. This spell does prevent him from actively attacking however, as his attention is focused on the future rather than the present.

      Cost: 60 TE per cast.

      HP: 100/100.

      TE/Temporal Energy: 100/100.

Note: Temporal Energy regenerates by 10 point's per turn when not being actively used.

He keeps Omega in a sheathe strapped to his back.

    • Bayar lets out a soft groan as he slowly pries his eyes open. The sounds of cheers ring in his ears as he manages to get to his feet. Dusting the dirt off of himself, Bayar takes a moment to survey his current location. Judging from the layout of the place it appeared that he was in an arena of some kind. Other than that he had absolutely no idea where he was, or who he was for that matter.

Placing a hand to his forehead, Bayar closed his eyes and tried to recall who he was, or at the very least his name. After what seemed like an eternity of searching he finally found it.

His name was Bayar. Bayar Vaziri.

It wasn't much admittedly, but it did wonders to calm his nerves. Still...he had no idea why or how he got here or why he was wearing armor and a sword in the first place, though he hoped answers would come in time. Opening his eyes, Bayar glanced around the arena and noticed a woman trying to get the attention of a man lying on the ground nearby. He decided to approach the pair.

Perhaps they could tell him what was going on.

Bayar noticed her hostility and raised his hands in a non threatening way. "Take it easy now. I'm not here looking for trouble, I just want to know what's going on." He said with a friendly smile. Although he was sure he could take her in a fight even though that wasn't his goal right now. Right now he simply wanted to know where the hell he was and how he got here in the first place.

"Yes it is! Watch!" Bayar says as he channel's time energy into his left hand and snaps his fingers, causing time to stop. Lowering his arm, Bayar calmly walks behind Flare and restarts time with another snap of his fingers as he nonchalantly leans against one of the dusty stone walls separating the arena ring from the spectator filled stands.

      CRACK

The pyromancer jumps at the sound of the noise, causing her to accidentally fire her attack in surprise. A bolt of fire speeds toward Bayar.

Bayar jumps in surprise as he quickly casts a spell and freezes time around the lethal projectile. Stepping out of the way of danger, Bayar glares daggers at Flare. "What the hell was that for!?" He shouted as he allowed time and the fireball to resume their flow.
“I WAS STARTLED!” She yells back.

"And how was I supposed to know that!?" He retorted, crossing his arms over chest. "Besides, if you had just believed me none of this would have happened in the first place." Taking a breath Bayar gestured at the torn up piece of paper. "So what did it say hotshot?"

(P.S. ignore the post where he picked up and read the note as I've removed it so it didn't happen, Glitches post threw me off as technically Bayar picked it up first but whatever. Lets just move on).

Suddenly, a crack splits the air, and a girl materializes out of nowhere, floating above the three. Her skin is pale, and her long hair white. An eyepatch covers her right eye, her left a startlingly blue color. She wears a dark blue longcoat over a black shirt, and black leggings under a dark blue skirt, along with black boots. He is vulnerable to spatial or mental attacks as he can't defend his mind or prevent a portal from slicing him. Also, whenever somebody sings a Smash Mouth song, he dances uncontrollably, as a cactus with legs would.

Techniques: Marshal uses his invulnerability to rush into combat, tanking most hits. He goes for the eyes with his thorns, and other inhumane things nobody should experience with a cactus.
