  • Okay, I don't know if this has been discussed before (it probably has), but I wanted to ask this question since I'm writing a story on the topic. How do two individuals with reality warping powers fight each other? Say each individual has the power to turn any wish they have into reality. Like, "I wish for it to snow," and it just does. What's a good way to balance the power of the two, that doesn't come down to which one "wishes" to win first? Any suggestions?

    • Maybe a plot where two reality waepers cam agree to have a dule that stops them from doing instant win moves against eachother and who evers more skilled/knowledgable wins

    • Perhaps in the way that they perform their warping. Say one of them has to voice their power and the other has to use gestures.

    • I just got an idea it could be that whenever reality warpers try to battle it becomes turn based like Pokemon or yugioh

    • Hmm... maybe. I was thinking that when two reality-warpers go against each other, they end up in some kind of arena-like world where certain rules apply. But what those rules might be, I don't know.

    • I'd say that they're abilities manage to negate each others. One of them could erase the other from existence but the erasure itself could be erased by the other, and this could go on until they realize its not a battle of their powers, but their physical self, resorting to punches instead of reality warping.

Of course, I doubt any reality warper would have any knowledge of martial arts. They'd have no need to learn it prior to meeting each other.

The videogame JJBA: Eyes of Heaven (spoiler warning) demonstrates this exact situation during the final boss fight. The main antagonist, an alternative timeline version of Dio, learns to erase reality, while the player controlled alternate timeline Jotaro learns to overwrite Dio's erasures, resulting in just a fight of pure power between their stands.
