  • xenophobia- dislike of or prejudice against strangers, foreigners, or anything that is strange or foreign, such as aliens, divine beings, etc. Synonyms; racism, racialism, racial hatred

    • Technically the deity is the alien to an alien, so im assuming they would see them as any other mortal.

    • I apologize, but that is not entirely what I meant, Wyz'Ard Arogoa. Try to picture yourself rewinding the clock to the time when Martin Luther King Jr. was alive and African Americans and the white Americans were not yet united. Now replace those African Americans with aliens and the whites with deities. I'm quite aware that gods would see the aliens as any other mortal, but if you follow the above instructions, I'm sure you'll get the topic more clearly.

    • Xenophobia is a human trait and i'd like to think that any deity would be incapable of such childish behavior, unless they're a god of hatred or something to that effect.

        Loading editor
    • @Wyz'Ard Arogoa is correct, Xenophobia is a human thing not a deity thing unless that deity purposes of existence are related to Xenophobia things, like the deity of hatred or war...etc

        Loading editor
    • Well, that may be true in certain verses. However, who's to say that the rest of the specific pantheon won't feel the same way? Just take a look at Zamasu from Dragon Ball Super. He's a prime example of this topic. He may not be a full-fledged god and he may have developed a hatred for mortalkind in general, but this is only surpassed by his hatred for Saiyans, Goku specifically.

I never said that a deity would be capable of this type of behavior. At least, not usually. It is true that gods of emotions such as war or strife would feel this way. But if you find the right fictional universe, you'll see that the rest of the pantheon, maybe all of the gods inhabiting a planet, would develop racial prejudice against aliens.

    • Well if you look at god from my point of view he is pure, but not everyone holds that belive and it differs from one person to another, so in fiction (which made by another human) it differs from my point of view and he is capable of such childish behavior, can do evil things and more, so truly it's verse specific (and every verse is influenced by its author whos point of view for god/angels/deity....etc may differ from mine)

If you look at Zamasu from immortal point of view his anger was logical.

Imagine watching a world destroy itself with careless warfare, he saw the development of mortals tending toward self-destruction, And as an apprentice, he was constantly told not to interfere. He was forced to play a passive role in a position that had the most potential for action. Don't forget Zamasu’s superiority complex here. And to further complicate things, beings like Goku and Vegeta exist and are common. Zamasu went mad because he was unable to reconcile being a God and unable to use his power while mere mortals could reach Godly levels of strength.

I guess you can say it's all about perspective

        Loading editor
    • I suppose perspective can change everything in the fictional continuity. Even so...

    • @Wyz'Ard Aroga: You clearly know nothing about the Greek Pantheon. @DeuzExMachina: God is very different from gods which can have very different and imperfect attitudes. Also, I'm pretty sure Zamasu was a full god. @Takoberushton: Yes, it is very possible for a god or multiple gods to be racist against aliens. However if you meant God with a big G, then the answer changes to no. @Everyone: I hope my answers satisfied everyone.

    • I, for one, certainly am. However, there was no mention of God himself in particular, so no need to worry there.

I only included that part because some people don't know the difference and say one when they mean the other. Glad I could help.

    • And I am glad that you got the clue of this topic. Anybody else care to express their personal opinion about this topic?

    • Wow.. that's quite a topic lol. Deities.. being racist towards aliens. hmm lol.. not sure what to think about this one.

    • Divinemutantpower1384 Anything can happen, including this topic. I, for one, have never seen this kind of situation occur in any show or comic, except, possibly, for Dragon Ball Super. Emphasis on the possibly.

That's an EGO question. Deities don't have EGOs. They are deities after all, they will be true to themself and nature. Unchanging, unlike humans who change so fast. Without an EGO however, they deal in absolutes. So best not mess up on anything, for example. An alien thinking racism. To that deity they're not an alien, they're a lower life form just like the rest. Just like humans. Alien might have superhuman speed and strength to humans. But to gods that is a serious joke if they tried to compared. A demi-god (in spirit not human form) The lowest ranking, could swallow our solar system 10 million times over with our sun. There is no comparison.

So I take it you haven't read any mythology then? Journey to the West, Greek Mythology, Norse Mythology, they've all got gods that have EGO and change. So, your reply is the most wrong on this thread that I've read.

    • Armyeater has a point there, White Reaper 2552. This thread has nothing to do with ego. You might need to read between the lines here next time, okay?

    • And where power of the gods of many myths and legends are concerned, your claims are not entirely inaccurate. However, in certain works, the power that extraterrestrials as a whole possess may pose a potential threat to the gods. The gods may think of their power as a serious joke at first, but pride goes before a fall, they always say. The alien in question will give the gods a very rude awakening. Get what I'm saying here?

I can just barely contain myself when it comes to dominating such pathetic beings such you. I wonder how loud you can scream beg and plead. The more you RESIST. The more FUN. YOU ARE A HUMAN. I AM A DIVINE. KNOW YOUR GODDAMN PLACE

Watch your mouth when you speak to your rightful king, when you speak to a divine being. Would you walk up to the creator of the universe and say you know better than them? NO??? THEN DON'T FUCKING DO IT TO ME.

    • Okay, first of all, save us both the trouble and drop the divine being act. You're not intimidating anybody. Secondly, you are just as human as the rest of us, whether you like it or not. Lastly, I would never dare to walk up to my creator and say that I know better than Him. I don't. But I can do that to you, of course, without any effort.

    • Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I'd hate for this to spiral out of control. As I said before, the reason I started this thread is because I've never seen a situation like this happen before in any form of media.

replying to this old thread to call out whitereaper for being a LARPing pussy. you can't do shit because you're not divine and I've seen your comments on other wikis threatening to use your divine power to cast out judgment on people. you ain't got shit. if you're so powerful go ahead and destroy my city I live in San Jose. sorry for thread necromancy but this idiot deserves to get called out.

    • Gods are gods they are divine being even if aliens come. I don't think they would be racist against them. Unless aliens also have divine gods on their side. They might be racist against them but to aliens they are just mortals. You won't feel xenophobia against any different species of ants in the they are just ants.
