- "Oh, a lesson on not changing history from Mr. "I'm My Own Grandpa". Let's just get the hell out of here already! Screw history!"
- ― Professor Farnsworth to his uncle, Phillip J. Fry (Futurama)
The state of existing in a bootstrap paradox. Variation of Acausality and Paradox Existence. Result of Time Travel. Not to be confused with Causa Sui.
Also Called[]
- Bootstrap Existence
- Ontologic Paradox Existence
- Predestination Paradox Existence
Effects[]
The user lives in a bootstrap paradox, a cyclic paradox where they are the effect of their own cause, either because of backwards causation or their own time travel. Unlike Causa Sui, a bootstrapper does not self-create/cause themselves nor their events alone, needing some foreign influence was needed to activate a loop, mainly by time travel. Some applications can simplify.
Applications[]
- Ancestral/Temporal Paradox Immunity (User's paradoxes are self-corrected, almost nullified)
- Temporal Looping
- Temporal Paradox Inducement

Powers[]

- Ancestral Paradox Immunity
- Paradox Existence
- Temporal Looping

- Time Travel
Limitations[]
- The user must take care if going to induce this paradox purposefully.
- If interupted, the user's paradox and benefits are lost.
