"Oh, a lesson on not changing history from Mr. "I'm My Own Grandpa". Let's just get the hell out of here already! Screw history!"
― Professor Farnsworth to his uncle, Phillip J. Fry (Futurama)

The state of existing in a bootstrap paradox. Variation of Acausality and Paradox Existence. Result of Time Travel. Not to be confused with Causa Sui.

Also Called[]

  • Bootstrap Existence
  • Ontologic Paradox Existence
  • Predestination Paradox Existence

Effects[]

The user lives in a bootstrap paradox, a cyclic paradox where they are the effect of their own cause, either because of backwards causation or their own time travel. Unlike Causa Sui, a bootstrapper does not self-create/cause themselves nor their events alone, needing some foreign influence was needed to activate a loop, mainly by time travel. Some applications can simplify.
