Vesemir (The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf) is given a poisonous concoction filled with alchemical ingredients commonly calling it Witcher’s Elixir to undergo Trial of the Grasses experiment to gain supernatural abilities which transformed him into a capable monster slayer.

Effects

The user can gain powers by being given a certain potion that augments one’s physical body. Some users can be turned into mystical super soldiers after being given a potion. Some users can be turned into magical metahumans/mutants or mutates after being given a potion. If users are female and pregnant, as they’re being given a potion, their children may also gain powers once they’re born. If most users are male and have children with non-superpowered individuals, they may inherit their powers.

Some potions can be engineered by certain ingredients that may include chemical magic/alchemy or cells/blood from mystical alien, mystic humans, etc.

While Vesemir and the other boys are locked in Reidrich's lab (The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf), they are forcibly administered alchemical ingredients through their mouths and veins to undergo Trial of the Grasses.

The Resurrection Elixir (Marvel Cinematic Universe) was not only capable of granting it's user unlimited longevity and the means to return from death, but perhaps due to the properties of the enormous amount of Chi found in the Dragon bones used for the Elixir, it can further alter one's physiology and grant it's user chi enhanced abilities.

The Calypso Potion (Marvel Comics) can endow the user with many superhuman attributes...

Circe (DC Comics) potion endowments others a good number of powers.

The Hourai Elixir (Tonikaku Kawaii) was created by Eirin Yagokoro using Kaguya Houraisan's power of the manipulation of eternity. Anyone who drinks this forbidden elixir will cease to age, never become ill, and will never be able to die. One will be as frail and vulnerable as before, but every injury shall cease; critical injuries will be healed in a matter of days. Complete destruction results in complete restoration.

With a help of a potion, Asterix and Obelix (Asterix) is granted with the power of Super Strength,...

...With Obelix's case being different due to to being dropped in a cauldron of the potion when he was a baby, giving him its effects permanently.
