- ― Kahn Makyr to the Slayer. (Doom Eternal)
- "He is part of me. Bound to my soul. He made me a god. For now, at least."
- ― Fire Thunder God Liu Kang (Mortal Kombat 11)

Capabilities
The users are ordinary mortals who have become powerful enough in their own right to be considered a god in a mortal state. They have enough raw power to rival even the most prominent divine individuals across worlds and time. They possess access to unparalleled capabilities despite their origins without considerable powers and abilities tied to their source. Their newfound divinity enhances their natural characteristics to godlike levels, making them nearly all-powerful and virtually unstoppable beings.
The trick to being a god of mortal descent is due to lacking any superior qualities (no genetic enhancements, no astonishing ancestral background, no latent genetic abnormalities for power potential). The premise is based solely upon the ordinary becoming extraordinary via a twist of fate, years of intense study or training, or new/old knowledge not yet revealed to all.
Due in part to this, the various means for mortals to become a god is limitless. The physical/emotional/mental and relational means of such grounded change gives options for many forms of divine admiration. Many mortals undergo remarkable transformations from their baseline racial stand-point to become something else in its entirety. The ascendant mortal has the one quality that many divines in their stagnant ways generally lack: the power of ever-constant change. While most gods and their legions are set in their ways, mortals continue to grow and change. Thus, they can learn new, unprecedented methods which they share with one another.
