Also Called[]

  • Ogumo Mimicry/Physiology
  • Tsuchigumo Mimicry
  • Yatsukahagi Mimicry/Physiology

Capabilities[]

The user either is or can transform into a tsuchigumo (lit. ground spider), a giant spider yokai that uses illusions to lure its prey, usually humans. Unlike the jorōgumo, which uses sexuality to lure men, tsuchigumo use illusions in a variety of ways and with bigger goals. Later iterations tell that they have faces of an oni, a body of a tiger, arms and legs of a spider, and wore giant outfits.
