The power to see ultraviolet radiation. Sub-power of Ultraviolet Manipulation. Variation of Enhanced Vision. Opposite of Night Vision.
Also Called[]
- Ultraviolet Spectrum Vision
- Ultraviolet Vision
- UV Perception/Vision
- Ultraviolet Light Vision
Capabilities[]
The user is able to perceive ultraviolet radiation, a type of electromagnetic radiation with a shorter wavelength than visible light, but longer than X-Rays, it is present in sunlight and represents around 10% of the radiation emitted by the sun. Although long-wavelength ultraviolet is not considered an ionizing radiation, because its photons lack the ability to disrupt atoms, it can cause chemical reactions causes many substances to glow or fluoresce. Allowing the user to see colors others can't, see well underwater, in the fog and in the rain, see fingerprints left on objects, as well as other traces such as saliva and blood.

Limitations[]
- The user may not be immune to ultraviolet rays. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause severe sunburn and cancer, as well as chronic, damaging effects on the eye, such as stroke caused by direct UV exposure. (See: Blindness Immunity)
- The user may not be able to see anything other than perfect darkness in environments devoid of ultraviolet light.
