Summary[]
Ophelia Hollow, often nicknamed "Lia," is a ghost who still attends her high school, despite being dead. She only does this because she is lonely and needs friends to pass her centuries ahead of her in the Veil.

- Reason for bounty: Reportedly attempted to kill half of the students at Cinnabar High School over the course of the school year. Very dangerous.
- Behavior: Only strikes after being seen. A mysterious cold fog fills the room when she appears, then the fog seems to change in substance and paralyze victims after she has been seen in true form. Subject then offers to "explain," claiming that the victim shouldn't leave her and that she wants to be their friend.
Appearance[]

Ophelia has pastel blue hair and greyish-blue eyes. Her skin has a blue tint, reminiscent of a corpse, but is about as pale as it was when she was alive. She has wire braces and a little bit of acne, since she's the ghost of a teenager.
She is always seen wearing the outfit she wore when she died, which is a sky-blue sweater vest with cloud designs over a strange dress-shirt sweatshirt hybrid that always hides her hands. She also wears a navy-blue skirt that reaches to just above her knees, knee-high white socks, and black loafers.
Strangely, she seems to have obtained her hairpins after she became a ghost. They are linked to her love of Halloween, which is presumably because she is stronger then and can therefore pass as human for a little while.
...Or maybe, she wore them when she died, too...
Powers[]
- Ghost Physiology- Ophelia is, quite obviously, a ghost.
- Conditional Tangibility- Ophelia is intangible, but can become tangible at will on Halloween.
- Cold Presence- Ophelia always lowers the temperature of an area she appears in by just a few degrees. It's less noticeable outdoors.
- Fog Generation- Ophelia always appears with a couple of clouds around her. She generates these at will but can never completely restrain it until Halloween.
- Animal Repulsion- Animals will always see her true nature and are always afraid. She can never pet a dog again. :(
- Fear Inducement- It is said that when a weak enough ghost is observed for long enough, their true nature shows and anyone watching sees what they looked like when they died...
- Levitation- Ophelia can levitate at will to avoid phasing into the floor when it's not Halloween.
- Poison Generation- Ophelia's fog can become poisonous whenever she pleases.
- Vapor Manipulation- Ophelia can control her fog at will within a certain range.
- Conditional Visibility- Ophelia is only visible to people predisposed to seeing ghosts, people looking through a clear material or at her with a reflective surface, or on Halloween.
Personality[]
Ophelia is ridiculously cheerful, so much that it can get annoying. She's kind to everyone, even those who push her away. She's empathetic in nature, and is pained when she sees people afraid of her.
But, at the same time, she's somewhat stupid. She's clingy and desperate, which can often appear to her new "friends" as a vengeance towards her fellow students. On top of it all, it's really easy to make her upset.
She does have a serious side, but it's only seen in dangerous situations.
Backstory[]
Ophelia grew up in a middle-class family. The family was very happy, and everything was great. Her mother made the money in the house as a surgeon, and her dad, a well-meaning detective, pursued his dreams of catching the bad guys.
Her dad caught a particularly nasty serial killer eleven years before Ophelia was born, and when Lia was fourteen, the man was released from prison. Unfortunately, the killer had pleaded guilty to one murder for a reduced sentence and wasn't charged guilty for the others, so he'd only served a 25-year sentence. Still, he came out of prison with a grudge.
So he did what any cruel, heartless murderer would do and murdered Ophelia to get back at her dad. Ophelia was shot in the head with a silenced gun as she passed the street where the killer waited, coming home at night from dinner around the corner from her house with her friends. Ophelia's eyes were gouged out, then she was draped over a branch of the magnolia tree in her family's front yard.
She died the day before Halloween, which had always been her favorite holiday.
She was confused when she became a ghost. She doesn't remember dying, since the bullet killed her instantly. She just thought that it was a flash of magic darkness. She woke up with "superpowers" and "magic" and believed that she could go live her normal life without worrying. She only noticed she was dead when her parents couldn't see her. Her parents were afraid of her when they saw her in the reflection of the surface of a puddle, so she left.
She's been staying optimistic, and still tries to get her parents to accept her, even as an eyeless ghost with blood coming out of her forehead.
