Ella (also known as Crimson Blade) is a bloodvein, protector of Veinville, and mother of Zoe.

Personality

As a protector alongside her husband Frank, Ella is a skilled and relentless warrior, dedicating her life to safeguarding their daughter Zoe and the safety of their hidden realm. Her combat prowess is unmatched, and she takes immense pride in her ability to defend those she loves. Unlike Frank and Zoe, Ella is often hard to read. She can come across as distant or detached, leaving others to wonder if there is a sociopathic edge to her or if she is simply burdened by the weight of her responsibilities. Her experiences have made her hyper-vigilant, occasionally bordering on paranoia, as she constantly anticipates potential threats to her family and kingdom. Ella’s sensitivity to harsh words reflects a deeper, more vulnerable side that she rarely allows others to see. While she can be stoic and unyielding in battle, criticism or cruel remarks can cut her deeply, stirring emotions she typically keeps tightly controlled. Having witnessed repeated chaos and brutality in the surface world, Ella’s worldview has grown increasingly cynical and nihilistic. • Blood Weaponry: Like her husband Frank, Ella possesses the ability to transform her body into powerful weapons, focusing on precision and speed. She can shapeshift her right arm into a giant razor-sharp blade made of dense, hardened blood. It is her primary weapon in combat, allowing her to specialize in swordplay and blade combat. Despite the size and heaviness of the blade, Ella can wield it with astonishing speed and precision, moving so fast that she can slice through multiple enemies in the blink of an eye. She can also grow two small, blood-formed holes from her back which function as jet-like propulsion systems, enabling her to take flight and capable to maneuver through the air with remarkable agility and speed. Ella has honed her skills to perfection and her fighting style is a blend of precision, power, and speed, allowing her to overwhelm her enemies with a flurry of swift, devastating attacks.

• Enhanced Strength: Despite her slender and agile appearance, Ella possesses immense physical strength, especially in her bladed arm. She can cut through nearly any material, break through defenses, and overpower her enemies with sheer force.

• Enhanced Speed: Ella is incredibly fast, capable of moving at blinding speeds that few can match. Her enhanced speed allows her to close distances in an instant, outmaneuver enemies, and deliver a rapid series of precise strikes before her opponents can react.

• Ella’s blood weaponry and shapeshifting abilities are inspired by Alex Mercer from Prototype. While Mercer's powers stem from the Blacklight virus, Ella's transformations come from her own blood.
• Ella revealed to her family that she was secretly involved in the U.S. military’s war against Afghanistan.
• Like some of the bloodvein people, Ella also carries unstable emotions. However, Ella can control her emotions on her own without Zoe's help.
• Ella once stated that the bloodvein had a war against a rival species known as the Roughskins, beings made of dry and brittle skin. The bloodveins emerged victorious, marking Zoe’s birth as the firstborn after the war. Ella mentioned that there might still be a last trace of the Roughskins, hiding somewhere and hinting at the possibility of future conflict.
• Ella can disguise herself as a regular human, often wearing a black hooded jacket and dark shades to avoid drawing attention. When chaos erupts in the human world, she typically observes from a distance, choosing to stay hidden and only intervene if absolutely necessary.
