While intangible, Mei can selectively make parts of her body solid, allowing her to interact with objects and people to disable devices, retrieve items, or strike enemies unexpectedly. Mei can move through hazardous environments, such as burning buildings or underwater, without being affected by the conditions. This makes her an excellent rescuer and explorer. Sometimes she can also phase underground, capable to levitate within the earth, moving silently beneath the surface and empowers her to create surprise traps such as pulling enemies into the ground or emerging unexpectedly to catch adversaries off guard. Rarely, Mei can temporarily inhabit and control the bodies of others, bending them to her will to influence the actions and decisions of her targets, providing strategic advantages during infiltration, reconnaissance, or direct confrontations.
