Enlightened Despot is an abstract/cosmic entity, embodiment of balance.

Appearance[]

Despot's main avatar is a muscular-looking humanoid being, having a head resembling a moose's skull (with two large horns), and black hair that extends to his neck.

He wears some clothes, the same being a brown cape that covers his left arm, he wears no shirt underneath, and on his right arm there is a leather bracelet. He has a brown belt with a purple gem in the middle, light gray pants, and big brown boots. He is commonly seen with a great and sinister scythe.

Personality[]

Enlightened Despot embodies an absolute neutrality, transcending the boundaries of morality, indifferent to both the forces of good and evil. Initially, this enigmatic entity existed in a state of emotional detachment, devoid of sensations and emotions. His sole and resolute purpose is to facilitate complete equilibrium within existence whenever such equilibrium is deemed necessary.

However, as the sands of time unfurled, and after a prolonged period of being held within the confines of William's influence, Enlightened Despot underwent a transformative evolution. A profound connection and a unique fondness gradually kindled within him, directed towards William and the formidable collective known as TGZ.

In response to this newfound connection, Enlightened Despot began extending his formidable powers to assist them in moments of need. These interventions, however, refrained from bestowing omnipotent abilities upon them, as his intrigue was not rooted in their potential omnipotence, but rather in their inherently mortal and creative nature.

Through this enigmatic relationship, the once-aloof Enlightened Despot has woven a complex tapestry of balance, neutrality, and care, defying conventional understanding. In the grand design of existence, his presence serves as a steadfast guardian, an embodiment of equanimity, and an enigmatic force to reckon with, shrouded in the mystery of his profound connection with William and the extraordinary journey of the TGZ.

Weaknesses[]

Because of his own extremely powerful and complex nature, ED always prefers to be "metaphysically sealed" into a being after everytime he uses his powers.
- So, because of that, it seems that he does not interfer into his seal's will to be freed. Not that he can't, but because he doesn't want.

It doesn't matter how many times you add the term "infinity" in any kind of description. Mathematical logic is something too limited to the likes of cosmic entities. Consider yourself as almighty as you want, but in the end, this doesn't matter at all. Nothing will matter. Since, well, I'm endlessly above any of that. Above anything you ever hoped to be.

They are a form of thought, a form of existence, too insignificant to someone like me. But, mortality has its wonders. They have a way better life than I ever thought of having. Sometimes, analyzing mortals, I think: does power really matter at anything?

Trivia[]

He is currently sealed/imprisoned in William/Fromthetime, which he will only leave/awaken if he senses an instability in the existence and/or with the death of William.
He is one of the 10 Abstract Entities, and is highly likely the most powerful among them (on account of transcending dualities, things that others rightly represent).
Despot will be the one who will bring the end of the Cosmic Dragon, an entity of unknown origin, where it has a power superior to all beings on existence combined (sans the Abstracts' True Forms and The Author).
- Which not even the combined strength of the Wuiyans, TGZ, and all other beings could stop it.
He is also, currently, the most powerful character in Cronikus, second only to The Author.
Different of the other Abstracts, ED doesn't have avatars, manifestations and aspects, possessing only 1 form (2 if you count his sealed status).
The reason why he has a skull moose's head, is because it represents solitariness, life, loyalty and energy (the moose part), but also the ignorance, death, rebellion and weakness (the skull part).
