- Varies on folklore and media, it requires a certain action to function; either a bite/blood-sucking or a specific ritual like removing all of the blood in the candidate and replacing it with the vampire's blood if biting/blood-sucking alone doesn't work.
- May not affect the victim's mind, allowing them to maintain individuality.
- Turning others does not mean one can control them.
- Certain supernatural DNA may keep the conversion from completing.
- The transformation may be reversible, or at least preventable.
- Can be reversible by destroying the source.
- Users of Conversion Negation and Transformation Negation can undo the effects.
- Users of Conversion and Vampirism Immunity cannot be transformed.
